Product Use, Agency Responsibilities, and Platform Terms
Understand how IncidentDraft is intended to be used, how agencies manage access, and how draft report content should be reviewed before official use.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using IncidentDraft, agencies and authorized users agree to use the platform according to these Terms of Use, applicable laws, and their agency policies.
2. Platform Purpose
IncidentDraft is a report drafting and documentation support platform for law enforcement and affiliated public-safety workflows. It helps users capture incident details, generate draft narratives, review missing information, and prepare content for RMS handoff workflows.
3. Authorized Users & Agency Access
Only authorized agency users should access the platform. Agencies are responsible for provisioning users, assigning roles, and removing access when users no longer need it.
Officer
Authorized to capture primary incident data and trigger AI draft narrative creation.
Supervisor
Authorized to review draft narratives, request edits, and audit template compliance.
Agency Administrator
Authorized to manage roles, credentials, configurations, and template permissions.
4. Agency Responsibilities
- Manage authorized users and role assignments
- Configure templates, workflows, and review expectations
- Enforce agency reporting policies
- Review platform output according to agency procedures
- Ensure users follow applicable law and policy
5. Officer & Supervisor Review
IncidentDraft provides draft assistance only. Officers remain responsible for reviewing, correcting, and confirming the accuracy and completeness of report content. Supervisors remain responsible for review according to agency policy.
6. AI assists. Officers decide.
AI-generated content is draft assistance only and may contain errors, omissions, or wording that requires correction. Users must review and edit all generated content before it is used in an official report or external system.

8. Prohibited Use
- Unauthorized access or credential sharing
- Fabricating or knowingly submitting false information
- Uploading unrelated sensitive or personal data
- Bypassing agency review or approval processes
- Attempting to disrupt or reverse engineer the platform
- Misusing agency or personal information
9. Data Ownership and Report Content
Agencies retain ownership of report content, draft narratives, templates, and operational data entered into IncidentDraft. IncidentDraft does not claim ownership of agency report content.

10. Privacy & Security
Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy. Users are responsible for protecting credentials and using the platform only through authorized accounts.
11. RMS & External System Handoff
IncidentDraft helps prepare draft content for copying, exporting, or handoff into RMS workflows. Unless a separate agency-approved integration is configured, IncidentDraft does not automatically submit official reports to RMS or external record systems.
12. Service Availability
IncidentDraft may update, improve, or modify platform features over time. Some services may be unavailable during maintenance, updates, or unexpected interruptions.
13. Suspension or Termination
IncidentDraft or an agency administrator may suspend or restrict access if an account is misused, security is at risk, or continued access violates agency policy or platform terms.
14. Limitation of Liability
IncidentDraft is provided as a drafting support platform. To the maximum extent permitted by law, IncidentDraft and its providers are not responsible for outcomes caused by inaccurate user input, failure to review generated content, misuse of the platform, service interruptions, or external system issues.
15. Updates to These Terms
These terms may be updated as the platform evolves. Continued use of IncidentDraft after updates means the user or agency accepts the revised terms.
